17092009159Originally uploaded by mhoulden I decided to try taking a few snaps during tonight’s bike ride. Still need to get the hang of getting the settings right, but I quite liked this one. Student halls along Burley and Kirkstall Road taken from the canal.

01092009140Originally uploaded by mhoulden I discovered that if you have a BT Broadband account you get a free Flickr Pro account as well. I know quite a few people on Livejournal are into photography and I was wondering if anyone had any tips. Because of all the time I spend out on the bike or… Continue reading Photos
Just wondering
Any connection between the Department of Information Retrieval in Brazil, and the Information Retrieval office in The Running Man? Both are set in a dystopian future with unusual ideas about law enforcement but there’s no sign of a baby-faced Michael Palin with a selection of sinister looking implements in The Running Man.

The battery doesn’t last as long as it used to so it needs replacing anyway and there are all kinds of add-ons that only work with iPods. Any thoughts? What’s it like using iTunes, and how easy is it… Continue reading iPod or not?
Retro TV
Classy stuff on VH1 Classic. Where do they get the bad video feedback and chromakey from? Scarier still, they’ve currently got the Osmonds on singing Love me for a Reason and wearing matching flared white suits with contrasting shirts. Those 70s mullets have got to be wigs, and I think it would be hilarious if… Continue reading Retro TV
